"Mark and I decided we wanted to get married at our home.
Naively we thought it would be easy to co-ordinate, a bit of food and music and we’d be sorted. We don’t normally make mistakes, but our huge underestimation on how much planning a wedding takes was enormous. Once this fact dawned on us, we realised we desperately needed some help, and thankfully we found Isabel Smith. From our very first meeting she put us at ease, and her calm, meticulous planning began.
Isabel helped with every aspect of our wedding. She made up a styling mood board, and also put together a budget for us. Then she started a huge amount of research into marquees, caterers, photographers, florists and DJ’s. All of her recommendations were great, and we were given a good amount of choice. She had no trouble interpreting what we wanted and getting it right, from table linen to chairs and lighting, she was spot on.
Isabel also took total control of all the horrid logistical stuff like generators and power runs that we really didn’t have any interest in. She always kept us well informed on how the budget was going, and would offer cheaper options if we were spending too much.
What is also great about Isabel is that she is always unflustered. At the last minute we decided to have a live jazz band at the reception, as well as a videographer, and she came up with terrific people straight away.
On the day Isabel and her team made everything look totally effortless. Our wedding went without a hitch, and Isabel’s steady hand made sure of it. There was such a lot to co-ordinate from parking to fireworks, from lighting hundreds of candles and keeping the day running to schedule she had everything totally under control. Having Isabel there was brilliant, she did all the hard work and that meant that we could really enjoy our wedding.
Finally we‘d like to say what a pleasure it was to work with Isabel. When you work closely with someone over a few months on something so personal, it’s vital to have a good rapour, and we both really loved and valued having her around. We can’t imagine what our day would have been like without her, and we are so grateful that she helped us create the most perfect wedding we could imagine."
